The
record goes back to Kerr Lake
The official weight is 109 pounds, performed
by Virginia Game officials the morning
of March 17th with State Certified scales.
The
State Record Fish Committee of the Virginia Department of Game and
Inland Fisheries (VDGIF) has reviewed and certified the
new state record blue catfish. This will be only the second confirmed
freshwater fish over 100 pounds in the Virginia. The big blue cat weighed
in at exactly 109 pounds. 53 inches long, a girth
of 41 inches.
